Terms of Service
Last updated: February 9, 2026
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Auxiora cloud service and related software provided by Auxiora LLC ("we," "our," "us"). By using our services, you agree to these Terms.
1. Open-Source License
The Auxiora software is released under the MIT License. You are free to use, modify, and distribute the software in accordance with that license. The full license text is available in the project repository.
Self-hosted deployments are governed solely by the MIT License — these Terms apply only to the cloud service at auxiora.ai.
2. Cloud Service
2.1 Accounts
You must provide accurate information when creating an account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials and for all activity under your account.
2.2 Subscriptions
Paid plans are billed on a recurring basis (monthly or annually). You may cancel at any time; access continues until the end of the current billing period. Refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis.
2.3 Free Tier
We offer a free tier with limited functionality. We reserve the right to modify free tier limits with reasonable notice.
3. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the service for any unlawful purpose or to violate any applicable laws.
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to other users' accounts or data.
- Reverse-engineer or interfere with the cloud service infrastructure (the software itself is open-source — read the code instead).
- Transmit malware, spam, or other harmful content through the platform.
- Resell access to the cloud service without written permission.
4. Your Data
You retain full ownership of your data. Due to our client-side encryption architecture, we cannot access the contents of your encrypted vault. You are solely responsible for maintaining backups and safeguarding your encryption keys.
If you lose your encryption key, we cannot recover your data. This is a feature, not a limitation.
5. Service Availability
We strive for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. Scheduled maintenance will be communicated in advance when possible. For mission-critical deployments, we recommend self-hosting.
6. Disclaimers
The service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
7. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Auxiora LLC shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of data, profits, or business opportunities, arising from your use of the service.
Our total aggregate liability for any claims under these Terms shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.
8. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Auxiora LLC from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your violation of these Terms or misuse of the service.
9. Termination
You may close your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for violations of these Terms or for any reason with reasonable notice. Upon termination, your encrypted data will be deleted within 30 days.
10. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes shall be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Delaware.
11. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email and posted here. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
